With her experience in fashion, Pepita was able to connect small-scale ateliers in France with the ‘deadstock’ from the larger fashion houses, thereby creating a circular economy, without waste.

She began to realise, however, the effects of this wasteful industry where artisan skill and old-fashioned craftsmanship were gradually becoming eroded under the pressure of cheaper alternatives abroad.
